Of course, you can enter default text in your stationery, add a default recipient and maybe format the text, too. But what about graphics, an oft-needed logo, for example? If you start a new stationery by selecting New... from the stationery window's menu, Eudora refuses to insert images. Fortunately, there is a way around this oddity that lets you compose your stationery comfortably and still insert pictures.
Insert an Image in Eudora Stationery
To insert an image in stationery with Eudora:
- Create a new message in Eudora.
- Enter all the default values and text you want in your message template.
- Select Edit | Insert | Picture... to insert an image at the current cursor position in the email body.
- Choose the desired image.
- Click Open.
- Select File | Save As Stationery from the menu.
- Type the desired name of your stationery.
- Click Save.
The newly created stationery will contain the image, which will also be automatically included in all messages you create using that stationery.
To insert an image in an existing Eudora stationery:
- Select Tools | Stationery from the menu.
- Double-click the desired stationery.
- Do not select Edit from the stationery's context menu.
- Use Edit | Insert | Picture... to insert the desired images.
- Select Edit | Save As Stationery from the menu.
- Highlight the name of the original stationery.
- Click OK.
- Click Yes to overwrite the old version.
