How to Change the Quotation Level in Eudora Quickly

By Heinz Tschabitscher, About.com

When you reply to an email, Eudora inserts the original text, indented by an excerpt bar to indicate the quoted passage.

This quotation bar doesn't seem to go away, no matter what you do. Or, sometimes, it vanishes and you can't get it back when you needed it most.

Two Eudora keyboard shortcuts put you in full control of the excerpt bars.

Change the Quotation Level in Eudora Quickly

To increase or decrease the level of quotation quickly in Eudora:

  • use Option-Command-' (Mac) or Ctrl-. (Windows) to remove one level of quotation and
  • use Command-' (Mac) or Ctrl-> (Windows) to add one level of quotation.
