Guide Review - Delete Duplicates for Eudora 6.6 - Eudora Add-On
Yet duplicates waste space (not that much of a concern unless, of course, the messages are big, which, of course again, is only typical), confuse when searching and aggravate the tidy mind. With dozens of folders filled with thousands of messages, looking for duplicates by hand might be a nice pastime, but not very efficient.
Delete Duplicates for Eudora, on the other hand, is very efficient, and watching it do its job is fun, too. You can select from a number of methods to spot the duplicates which are a bit too technically labeled (a peculiarity present in other parts of the tool together with some buttons that act like checkboxes) but both fast and flexible.
Delete Duplicates looks for identical twins or messages that differ only slightly (in some headers maybe), and if it finds them in different folders will keep the copy whose folder you have given the highest priority. Duplicates not kept can be moved to a folder, trashed or wiped immediately.
It's great how Delete Duplicates can look for duplicate attachments as well. A way to review duplicates before action is taken might be nice, though.
