2 Prong - Disposable Email Address Service

2 Prong - Disposable Email Address Service

Heinz Tschabitscher

The Bottom Line

2 Prong offers email addresses for one-time use in a very easy and smart manner. By switching to a new domain name frequently, 2 Prong avoids being blocked, and mail can be picked up without manual checking. Of course, 2 Prong is no disposable email address service for longer email relationships. It is also a pity that one cannot reply to mail from 2 Prong.
2 Prong is no longer available.

Pros

  • 2 Prong offers easy throwaway email addresses for use in web forms
  • Changing domain names perpetually, 2 Prong avoids being blocked
  • New mail appears instantly as long as 2 Prong is open

Cons

  • 2 Prong is not for when you want to establish a longer email relationship
  • Be aware 2 Prong will copy the new email address to your clipboard automatically
  • You cannot reply from 2 Prong, and checking for new mail later does not work

Description

  • 2 Prong creates a new email address every time you visit the site.
  • The 2 Prong address can be used in all web forms that require a valid email address.
  • Mail received at your 2 Prong address is displayed instantly.
  • 2 Prong changes the domain of disposable addresses frequently.

Guide Review - 2 Prong - Disposable Email Address Service

All they want is an email address. The last thing you want to give is your email address. You do not have to forgo all the frills and thrills that await you behind that form that so convincingly demands a "real" email address. Using a disposable address, you can get mail from the site reliably, but can drop the account as soon as you receive junk mail.

2 Prong is not a sophisticated service that would administer your many disposable addresses connected to various sites or people. Continued contact is not always necessary, however. And whenever it is not, 2 Prong is ideal.

By just visiting the site you have already created a fresh email address. (It has also been copied to your clipboard automatically, so make sure nothing worthwhile is dumped to make room for it.)

To avoid being blocked by said form, 2 Prong periodically switches to a new domain name. The user name of your address is random, but you can create a custom address, too. For as long as 2 Prong remains open in your browser, new emails appear instantly and automatically.

Be aware that checking the same address later will usually not work. It can also be inconvenient at times that you cannot send replies right from 2 Prong. When you just need to receive an email or two (with log-in details, for instance), 2 Prong is fast and fabulous, however.

"2 Prong no longer exists. When it did exist, I used it alot, mostly for answering sites that wanted an email address where I had no need of their email."
