How to Report Spam if You Access AOL via IMAP in Any Email Client

If you access your AOL email account in your favorite email client with IMAP and comfort, you might miss the Report Spam button of the AOL client if an unwanted junk messages makes it to your Inbox. But fret not.

Thanks to the wonders of IMAP, you can report spam, helping AOL fight and filter it, just as easily in your email program.

Report Spam if You Access AOL via IMAP in Any Email Client

To report a junk email if you access AOL in your email client using IMAP:

  • Move the junk email to the Spam folder.
    • If you cannot see the Spam folder, check the account settings in your email client to make you are subscribed to it.
    • In most email programs, you just need to drag and drop it onto the folder.
