Insert Images Inline in Emails with AIM Mail or AOL Mail
To send an image in the body of an email alongside the text from AIM Mail or AOL Mail:
- Make sure the image is located at a web server.
- You can upload the image to your web host or use an image (which you can use without violating its terms of use) you found on the web.
- If you have no site, you can use a free image hosting service instead.
- If the image is larger than some 640x640 pixels, consider shrinking it to more handy proportions.
- Locate the image on the web site or open it directly in your browser.
- If the image appears on a page together with other items:
- Click on the image with the right mouse button.
- Select View Image from the menu.
- Hit Ctrl-A (Windows, Linux) or Command-A (Mac) to select the image.
- Hit Ctrl-C (Windows, Linux) or Command-C (Mac).
- Position the cursor in the AIM Mail or AOL Mail message where you want the image to appear.
- Hit Ctrl-V (Windows, Linux) or Command-V.
- In many browser, can also drag and drop the desired image from the original site into a message you are composing in AIM Mail or AOL Mail.
- If you use an image uploaded to a free image hosting service, insert a link to the full picture below.
- Continue composing the email message.
To delete any image from your message while composing:
- Highlight the image with the mouse.
- Press Del.
