Archiving, thankfully, is particularly easy in Facebook Messages. It will move the conversation to a separate folder and keep the inbox snappy.
Archive Mail and Messages Fast in Facebook Messages
To move a conversation or email to the archive in Facebook Messages:
- Open your Facebook Messages inbox.
- Click the x next to the conversation you want to archive.
The messages in the conversation will be moved to your Facebook Messages archive. If the conversation is unread, it will not be marked read automatically but still appear unseen in the archive folder.
You can, of course, also archive a conversation that's open in Facebook Messages:
- Open the conversation.
- Click Actions.
- Select Archive from the menu that comes up.
- You can also hit Ctrl-Del or Ctrl-Backspace to archive the currently open conversation.
