Spam: Either you have already encountered it or you do not use email. If the latter is the case, spam is a good reason not to start using email; it is probably the only reason.
This is the beginning of a series of articles on unsolicited (commercial bulk) email. We will have a look at what spammers do and how they do it, what you can do to prevent getting spam in the first place and what if it happens; possible legislative measures shall also be an issue as well as free-speech matters.
