Guide Review - SpamSifter 1.1 - Spam Filter
SpamSifter is a pronouncedly simple anti-spam tool. This means it is easy to use, features a nice setup wizard and will spare you hours of configuration and tuning.Unfortunately, being simple also means using plain content filters that apparently only look for bad words or addresses. "Apparently" because the whole filtering process is not transparent in SpamSifter, another price to pay for simplicity. Anyway, a weighing mechanism or statistical analysis could improve detection results.
On the plus side, you can easily set up (equally simple) custom filters, and import your address book as a white list of senders that are always allowed in. Adding senders to the SpamSifter white or black lists from existing messages is easy, too.
