Guide Review - Spam CounterStrike 1.1
I don't like military metaphors, but I like Spam CounterStrike, the program. Acting as a POP proxy, it analyzes your mail as you download it.Instead of deleting or moving the spam it detects, Spam CounterStrike just modifies the Subject. What you do with the spam is up to you, or to your email program's filters. Unfortunately, this safe, flexible and useful design only works with POP accounts.
Spam CounterStrike's spam detection rate is not perfect, but the scoring content filters are still pretty good. This makes the occasional false positive (that occurred during my tests) even more problematic.
On the positive side again are the frequent and automated updates to the filtering engine and the easy to use installation wizard.
