Guide Review - SAproxy 2.5 - Spam Filter
Easy to set up and install, SAproxy lets you profit from highly effective spam filtering transparently and comfortably. SpamAssassin has one major shortcoming: training the Bayesian filter is a bit cumbersome.
Unfortunately, SAproxy doesn't improve that. Not even Bloomba, an email client from the makers of SAproxy that otherwise integrates it well, lets you teach SAproxy about a false positive easily. You can import mail from several email clients to train SAproxy's Bayesian filter in bulk, though. It's also a pity SAproxy only works with POP accounts.
These imperfections notwithstanding, SAproxy is an effective anti-spam companion.
