Guide Review - MailWasher Free 5.1 - Free Spam Filter
MailWasher Free provides a number of powerful measures to automate that process. You can set up filters that use regular expressions in MailWasher Free, and the black and white lists are very easy to maintain.
While these methods prove quite effective with some tending to, MailWasher Free lacks scoring filters or Bayesian statistics to adapt to spammers' tactics automatically. Another drawback to MailWasher Free is that it only supports one POP account. If you use IMAP or a Web-based email account, you're out of luck.
If you have to check just one POP account, though, and want to avoid downloading all junk mail in full, relying on the sender and subject info to judge, MailWasher Free does a pretty good job elegantly.
