Guide Review - Inbox Protector OE 2.0

If you want to get rid of at least a bit of all that spam that reliably shows up in your Outlook Express Inbox every day you can employ a separate anti-spam program or you try constructing rules in Outlook Express that put spam in the Trash.

Or you use Inbox Protector OE. This plug-in for Outlook Express reliably detects a good deal of the unsolicited emails (it has problems primarily with foreign language spam) using text filters and a scoring system.

While constructing your own filters is quite easy, a feature to automatically update the default rules via the Web would be nice. Fortunately, Inbox Protector OE is easy to use. The documentation is far from being exhaustive and mainly consists of a FAQ.
