CoffeeCup Spam Blocker is a veritable blocker. Using a number of ways, it blocks a lot of spam.
Unfortunately, Spam Blocker's idea of spam extends to a lot of good mail unless you use the list of approved senders extensively. CoffeeCup Spam Blocker looks for keywords commonly found in spam, and if an email contains more than a configurable number of these keywords it is deleted.
Spam Blocker also includes a list of blocked senders and countries, and can automatically remove mail not using a Western character set, too. The clean and easy to use interface makes up for the false positives to some degree by making it easy to correct Spam Blocker's decisions.
Still, more precise filters in the first place are desirable, as is support for IMAP.
