Guide Review - MailSweep 3.51 - Remote Email Tool
While the long-term goal probably is to eliminate spam completely, a short-time achievement of banning it from our email client's inboxes wouldn't be bad. With MailSweep, you can achieve this goal, but it requires some work.
MailSweep can automatically connect to your POP accounts, scan the new messages for spam and sweep that spam completely on its own. Unfortunately, the filters you can construct to spot spam are not flexible enough, and MailSweep doesn't offer scoring filters or statistical analysis.
If your automatic filters miss one or the other unsolicited message, you will quickly detect and delete it. All in all, MailSweep is easy and efficient to use, but lacks some power and flexibility.
