Guide Review - eCleaner 2.0.2 - Email Cleanup Tool
Now and then we all forward some emails. Only the most interesting ones, of course. But some are so interesting that they get forwarded several times, and usually they end up being severely polluted with > characters everywhere.

eCleaner does a marvelous job removing these show-stoppers. Additionally, it can strip off HTML tags and even old headers with all the To: lines containing past recipients of the message.

This does not work as perfectly as the > character removal, and unfortunately eCleaner cannot re-flow the paragraphs it constructs to a specified line length. But that should certainly not stop you from cleaning all your forwards with this handy and easy to use utility.
