- TickerMyMail uses a stock ticker to announce mail
- You can instantly delete messages on server with TickerMyMail
- TickerMyMail supports POP, IMAP, MAPI, Hotmail and AOL accounts
- TickerMyMail is a bit cumbersome with lots of mail
- The ticker itself could be more configurable
- TickerMyMail's filters are not flexible enough
- TickerMyMail checks up to six POP, IMAP, MAPI, Hotmail and AOL accounts for new mail periodically.
- Announces new mail in a ticker at the top or bottom border of the screen and optionally with sound.
- Open your email client from TickerMyMail or delete unwanted messages directly off the server.
- Ticker font can be customized, and every account can have its own font/background color combination.
- A simple spam filter lets you hide mail with certain words in the subject from the ticker.
- The TickerMyMail user interface is skinnable.
- TickerMyMail supports Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000/3/XP.
TickerMyMail uses the stock ticker approach for incoming emails, much like The Bat! does. It checks multiple POP, IMAP, MAPI, Hotmail and AOL accounts for new mails periodically and displays them in a ticker on the top or bottom of the screen. From there, you can easily open your email program or (very useful) delete messages directly on the server.
If you get lots and loads of mail, the ticker approach does not work so well. At least the simple filter lets you hide some messages, but more flexibility and options would be nice (age filters, for example).
