POPIt can do many of the things you'd usually do with your email client: it shows you a list of new messages, allows you to preview them, and you can even reply to them from within the program. All of this works reliably and fast, just the way you'd expect it from a mail checker.
Unfortunately, POPIt stays true to its name and supports POP accounts only, and while a list of blocked senders is certainly useful, I'd prefer a more flexible solution to filtering and banning spam.
Still, if you do not mind an interface that looks and feels archaic sometimes and do not need filters, POPIt is a powerful and reliable solution to your mail checking needs.
