- Inbox announces new mail nicely
- Easy to use, fast and lightweight
- Inbox doesn't display any message information
- No filters to announce special mail especially
- One update schedule for all accounts
- Inbox checks POP and IMAP accounts for new mail periodically.
- Incoming messages are announced using the Inbox system tray icon, a pop-up and sound.
- Inbox lets you start any email program easily or takes you to the web-based email service's site.
- Inbox can display new mail count on the Windows XP welcome screen.
- Inbox supports Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/3/XP and requires the .NET framework.
Unfortunately, Inbox does not display sender information for new messages, and you can't filter incoming emails to only announce specific messages, for example. It would also be nice if the checking frequency could be set per account instead of globally.
