The Bottom Line
Inbox is a really nice and really useful mail checker for POP and IMAP accounts. It's a pity Inbox doesn't display message info as it announces and you can't use any filtering. Inbox is no longer available.

There are many, many mail checkers, but not too many of them are as comfortable and easy to use as Inbox. A nice wizard gets you through account setup and new mail is announced via sound, system tray icon and pop-up.
Unfortunately, Inbox does not display sender information for new messages, and you can't filter incoming emails to only announce specific messages, for example. It would also be nice if the checking frequency could be set per account instead of globally.
