Guide Review - CheckP3 4.4 - Mail Checker
For IMAP and POP, CheckP3 lets you interact with the server in a pure and quite powerful way, allowing you to view, download, and (most importantly) delete messages directly and quickly.
Unfortunately, the mail announcements are part of the so-so CheckP3, in spite of pop-up window, sound, tray icon and support for MS Agent characters. The really useful way of announcing new messages is not among them.
The CheckP3 interface as a whole is neither particularly intuitive nor good-looking nor easy to use, though it can be efficient once you've gotten used to it. It would be nice if the filters in CheckP3 could be expanded to allow for custom announcements of certain messages, and if it could allow you to preview and delete Hotmail emails, too.
