Guide Review - 3D Mail Effects 6.0 - Mail Checker

All mail checkers announce new mail, so this cannot be the criterion for choosing one rather than another. But the way a mail checker does these announcements can be decisive, at least if you want more than a blinking system tray icon.

3D Mail Effects does have this icon, of course, but it also has a skinnable pop-up window, and it has animated, configurable, eye-popping 3D objects that dance around the screen upon the arrival of new mail.

The interface for previewing and deleting messages is less spectacular, but equally useful.

Unfortunately, 3D Mail Effects is missing (anti-spam) filters that could automate the removal of unwanted mail.
