Guide Review - NewsMerge 2.2 - Email Marketing Software
With its database-centered approach, NewsMerge is a very flexible bulk email application. It sports powerful mail merging including custom fields and conditional text.
Subscriber data is in a database, as is every single issue of the newsletters you define. Alternatively, NewsMerge can use MS SQL server for its database needs. While the mail merging is great and HTML editing is easy, message preview would be nice.
Unfortunately, NewsMerge relies on one external SMTP server and does not offer an internal sending engine. For smaller projects NewsMerge is a flexible and easy to use companion, however.
