How to Preview Messages in The Bat!'s Message Dispatcher

The Bat!'s Message Dispatcher is a great tool. It shows you the most important message headers and lets you delete messages directly at the server. But what if the sender and subject are not enough to decide whether you want to keep a message?

The Bat! can automatically download a few body lines together with the headers.

Preview Messages in The Bat!'s Message Dispatcher

To set this up for a particular account in The Bat!:

• Select Account | Properties... from the menu.
• Go to the Mail Management tab.
• Under Message body lines to download with header you can tell The Bat! how many body lines you want to download.
  • Something between 5 and 25 seems to be useful.

To view the message bodies in the message dispatcher:

• Select View | Header autoview from the menu.
