How to Purge Messages from The Bat!'s Trash Automatically

It's nice to know that deleted messages are not immediately gone forever but still can be retrieved from the Trash folder in The Bat!. This is the one hand. The other is that the Trash folder grows and grows. In The Bat!, you can have messages from the Trash folder removed automatically after a certain amount of time.

Purge Messages from The Bat!'s Trash Automatically

To make The Bat! delete old messages from the Trash folder automatically:

• Click on the Trash folder with the right mouse button.
• Select Properties... from the context menu.
• Make sure Keep messages in base for (days): is selected.
• Enter the desired amount of days messages should be kept in the Trash folder.
• Make sure Remove old messages is selected under On exit.
• Click OK.
