Forward an Email Message with The Bat!

By , About.com Guide

If you get an email that you think others should see, too, you have a great tool at your hands: forwarding. In The Bat!, sharing an email by forwarding it is easy, and you even have two options.

The traditional and fail-safe way is to include the original message inline in the body of a new message. This is what The Bat! does by default (of course, forwarding as an attachment, the other option, is just as easy).

Forward an Email Message with The Bat!

To forward an email inline with The Bat!:

  • Open the message in The Bat!.
    • It doesn't matter whether you open it in its own window or just in the preview pane.
  • Click the Forward button.
  • Address and edit the message.
  • Finally, deliver the email containing the forwarded message by pressing Send.

If you want to remove the recipients of the original message by default or otherwise adapt the forwards for your needs, The Bat! lets you customize the template used for forwarding emails.
