Whitelist a Domain in G-Lock SpamCombat

By Heinz Tschabitscher, About.com

Usually (and if its Bayesian filter is well-trained), G-Lock SpamCombat locks and knocks down spam, but not good mail.

Still, some newsletters sometimes look a lot like spam -- but you still want to receive them. One way to make sure you're always getting all mail from a certain domain without manual intervention is whitelisting that domain. I have whitelisted the "about.com" domain in SpamCombat, for example, so that About guides can author and send the About newsletters I have subscribed to whithout having to fear they might not reach me.

To whitelist a domain in G-Lock SpamCombat:

  • Select Edit | Whitelist: Header or Body from the menu in G-Lock SpamCombat.
  • Click on the Field: drop-down list.
  • Select From:.
  • Type the domain name, preceded by '@', in the String or Regular Express: field.
    • To whitelist the "about.com" domain, for example, type "@about.com".
  • Click Add.
  • Now click OK.
