How to Find Out What Spam Bully Thinks About a Message

By Heinz Tschabitscher, About.com

Spam Bully combines a few methods to form a strong spam filtering package. But why did it mark this particular message as spam (inappropriately)? Why did this particular message get through?

You can find answers to these questions in Spam Bully's Email details dialog. It lets you know where a message is from, what language (Spam Bully thinks) it is in, what spam percentage the Bayesian classifier assigned to it, and why Spam Bully did to it what it did to it.

Find Out What Spam Bully Thinks About a Message

To find out what Spam Bully thinks about a message:

  • Hightlight the message.
  • Click the Message Details toolbar button.

If the Bayesian engine thinks a message is 100% sure to be spam, but it is not, and Spam Bully correctly classified it as non-spam because the sender is on your white list, you can use the Email details dialog to find out, for example, and subsequently train the classifier with this good message.
