ZIP files are much more convenient. They can contain several files and come with the additional bonus of compressing these files.
To pack stationery you create with Scrippy in a ZIP file:
- Make sure all necessary files are in the "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Stationery" folder.
If you use Windows ME, XP or later, creating the ZIP file is easy:
- Open the folder in a Windows Explorer window
- Right-click in it.
- Select New | Compressed (zipped) Folder from the context menu.
- Drag and drop all necessary files for your stationery (the HTML file, images and sounds) on the folder.
- Give the zip folder a meaningful name
and it's ready to be sent to friends via email or to be put on a Web site for download.
If you are using a version of Windows that does not have support for ZIP files,
It's best not to include path info when compressing your stationery and tell people to uncompress into the "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Stationery" folder instead.
