Access the POPFile User Interface

By Heinz Tschabitscher, About.com

POPFile is not a "traditional" application like Outlook Express or Eudora. So how do you set up buckets, correct classifications and see statistics?

It's easy. POPFile is administered via a Web interface — with links and forms that let you perform the desired tasks.

To access the POPFile user interface:

  • Select Programs | POPFile | POPFile User Interface from the Windows Start menu.

If you run POPFile on a different platform or prefer a more direct access:

  • Go to http://127.0.0.1:8080/ in your browser.
    • If you have specified a different port for POPFile's interface, substitute this custom port for "8080".

Bookmark this page in your browser for a particularly fast way to go to the POPFile user interface. For another easy way to open POPFile on Windows, try the system tray.
