How to Rewrap and Reformat a Paragraph Easily in Pegasus Mail

If you cut the original quoted text to insert a reply exactly where it belongs you inevitably end up with a line (following your reply) that is too short.

That's a bit difficult to explain, but it is easy to see:

> Sooner or later, even the hottest summer comes
> to an end.

> (Google News have become email, too) monitors

Pegasus Mail has a quick and perfect fix for the "So" on a line of its own. It can re-wrap the whole paragraph to be nicely justified again, and of course it gets the indenting '>' right, too.

Rewrap and Reformat a Paragraph Easily in Pegasus Mail

To rewrap and reformat a paragraph easily in Pegasus Mail:

  • Move the cursor in the paragraph you want to reformat.
    • Paragraphs are separated by an empty line. A single newline character does not constitute a new paragraph.
  • Press Ctrl-J.
    • Alternatively, you can select Message | Reformat paragraph from the menu.
