That's because message templates work a bit differently in Pegasus Mail. It's a tad more difficult to set them up, but they are much more powerful than templates are in many of the other email clients.
Message Template Basics in Pegasus Mail
Message templates in Pegasus Mail are plain text files that contain scripts. Each line is a command that tells Pegasus Mail how to construct the message. There is a command to specify the recipient, for example, or a command to attach a file, and of course there's also a command that inserts some text in the message body.
Using the built-in template editor, it is relatively easy to create new message templates in Pegasus Mail.
