Get Access to Blocked Attachments in Outlook
To gain access to blocked attachments in Outlook:
- Select Run... from the Start menu.
- Type "regedit".
- Hit Return.
- Travel down to this key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\Security.
- Go to ...\Office\11.0\Outlook\... for Outlook 2003 and
- ...\Office\10.0\Outlook\... for Outlook 2002.
- Add a new string value called "Level1Remove".
- Make its value a list of allowed file extensions separated by semicolons.
- For example, "exe;url" allows access to executables and Internet shortcuts.
Instead of editing the Windows registry directly, you can also use the Attachments Options Outlook add-on.
