iHateSpam does add some nice filters that catch some spam, but they also make a number of false guesses. Sure, misclassified mail can be reported for filter improvements — and iHateSpam will automatically keep your filters up to date —, but the whole system seems not flexible enough for really precise spam filtering.
iHateSpam includes some nice gimmicks, though: you can bounce spam back to the sender or report it to the spammer's ISP automatically and comfortably.
