How to Make Sure My Way Mail Never Filters Newsletters as Spam

By , About.com Guide

My Way Mail is a refreshingly clean Web-based email service, and it is clean of spam for the most part, too.

Even My Way Mail's filters can make mistakes, though. This is particularly bothersome if they catch good mail and treat it like spam.

Fortunately, you can whitelist certain senders and domains in My Way Mail using the Safe List. Messages from these senders will never be touched by the spam filters.

I have put "about.com" on this whitelist immediately after signing up for some of the About newsletters, for example, to make sure I'll never have to go look for them in the Bulk Mail folder.

Make Sure My Way Mail Never Filters Newsletters as Spam

To prevent My Way Mail from filtering newsletters as spam:

  • Follow the Mail Preferences link in the My Way Mail toolbar.
  • Select Safe List.
  • Type the email address or domain name you want to whitelist in the entry field.
    • To whitelist all About newsletters, type "@about.com".
  • Click Add >>.
  • Now click Save.
