Fortunately, this is not completely true, and you can still recover these emails.
Recover Archived Mail from MSN Explorer
To recover email archived in MSN Explorer:
- Make sure Windows Explorer displays hidden and system files.
- Select Run... from the Start menu.
- Type "%appdata%\MSN6\UserData\" (without quotes).
- Use auto-complete to select your user ID.
- Type "\Hotmail".
- Hit Return.
- This takes you to the folder where all your locally stored Hotmail messages are.
- Open the .dbx files in a tool like R-Mail.
