Compose Mail from the Address Book in Mozilla Thunderbird or Netscape

By Heinz Tschabitscher, About.com

What do you usually know first: the message or its recipient?

Oh, you need not answer that question (it doesn't seem to be too simple a question to answer), but you should know there's a nice way to compose a message from (and to) a recipient in Mozilla Thunderbird, Netscape or Mozilla.

To compose a message from the address book in Mozilla Thunderbird, Netscape or Mozilla:

  • Select Window | Address Book from the menu.
    • The corresponding commands are Tasks | Address Book in Netscape 6 and Communicator | Address Book in Netscape 4.
  • Highlight the entry you want to compose a message to.
  • Press Ctrl-M (Windows) or Command-Shift-M (Mac).
