Dictionaries for a large number of languages are available from OpenOffice.org (Mozilla uses the same spell checking engine as OpenOffice).
Download any dictionary you want.
Install Additional Spell Checking Dictionaries for Mozilla
To install a dictionary for the Mozilla spell checker:
- Extract the *.dic and *.aff files from the zip file.
- Put them in the Mozilla\components\myspell directory.
- Under Windows, the directory is "C:\Program Files\Mozilla\components\myspell\" for example.
That's it. You don't even have to restart Mozilla, the new spell checker dictionaries are immediately available in Mozilla Mail and ready to check the spelling of your emails.
