Check for New Mail Periodically in Netscape 4

If you find yourself checking for new messages every ten minutes, you can have Netscape do that for you and look for new incoming mail periodically.

To specify the interval of periodic mail checks for a mail server in Netscape 4:

• Select Edit | Preferences... from the menu in Netscape.
• Select the Mail Servers subcategory from the Mail & Newsgroups category.
• Highlight an incoming mail server.
• Select Edit.
• Make sure the check box next to Check for mail every xx minutes is selected.
• Specify an interval that suits you.
