Guide Review - The Unread 1.1 - Mail Checker
Mac OS X Mail displays the number of unread messages in its Dock icon. If you have the Dock hidden by default, though, don't like floating windows and still want to see how many new emails have arrived quickly there's one place left to put the mail count: the menu bar. This is also where The Unread puts it, and it does so in a very useful way. Upon a single click, The Unread also reveals which folders or accounts your newly arrived emails are in. Not only can you configure the polling interval, The Unread also allows you to set up precisely the folders you want to include in mail checking.
It would be nice if The Unread displayed some message info (the sender, the subject, maybe info about attachments), though. All in all The Unread still is a very useful and swift mail checker.
