How to Edit LDAP Servers in Mac OS X Mail

The Mac OS X address book can look up email addresses using LDAP. Mac OS X Mail comes with some LDAP servers preconfigured, but you are not limited to this set of directories.

Edit LDAP Servers in Mac OS X Mail

To edit the list of LDAP servers in the Mac OS X Mail address book:

  • Select Address Book | Preferences... from the menu in the OS X address book.
  • Go to the LDAP tab.
  • Use the +, - and Edit buttons to adjust your LDAP server settings.
  • Close the preferences window.
