How to Address Messages with Quicknames in Windows Live Hotmail

Typing email addresses is difficult, and only too often unfortunate mistakes happen.

In Windows Live Hotmail, you can select recipients from your address book comfortably. But this is not the only way to address messages quickly and reliably in Windows Live Hotmail.

Address Messages with Quicknames in Windows Live Hotmail

If you assign nicknames (called Quicknames in Windows Live Hotmail) to your contacts in the Windows Live Hotmail address book, you can use them to address your mails:

  • Type the Quickname of the recipient in the To:, Cc: or Bcc: field.

Windows Live Hotmail will expand it to the full email address.
