GetSmile 0.998
GetSmile lets you organize, import, create, share and, most importantly, insert smileys in emails easily. GetSmile is a bit resource hungry with its custom interface, though.

Traylook 1.5.0
Traylook adds a (more) useful system tray icon to Outlook and offers informative popup notification of new messages in user-defined folders, too. Still, Traylook could be even more functional with added features such as swift email deletion.

E-mail Informer 1.3
E-mail Informer adds a nice and really useful new mail announcement window to Outlook. Unfortunately, it has its problems with filtered mail and doesn't allow you to delete mail directly.

Mail Overseer 1.3.2
Mail Overseer is a basic spam filter that uses Bayesian analysis to classify emails in a POP account. Unfortunately, the implementation is less than ideal and leaves a lot to be desired.

MailMonitor 1.13
MailMonitor captures data in SMTP and POP connections to and from your computer, allowing you to debug email problems and detect unauthorized traffic. Unfortunately, MailMonitor doesn't support IMAP connections.

E-mail Talker 3.50
E-mail Talker is a nice mail checker that can announce new messages in POP or Hotmail accounts by reading the headers or even complete emails. Unfortunately, it contains only rudimentary filters.

Poppy 5.2.1
Poppy is a tiny and efficient mail checker, and it offers a very useful way of announcing new messages.

Magellan Pro 1.5.2
With its database-centered and multi-lingual approach, Magellan Pro is a very interesting and promising email client, but it can still use major improvements here and there.

Mailblocks
Mailblocks is a great email service with a fast and easy to use Web interface and an effective approach to canning spam. Unfortunately, Mailblocks doesn't integrate secure, encrypted messaging.

PocoMail 3.0.3
PocoMail is a great Windows email client with hardly any weak points, but many useful and powerful features. Its spam filters could profit from using Bayesian statistics, though.

eMail2Pop 2.0
eMail2Pop is a very useful utility that not only gives you access to your AOL email accounts in just about any email client but includes highly effective and precise spam filtering, too. Now, IMAP access and more speedy eMail2Pop spam checking would be great.

Outlook Express Password Revealer 1.1
Outlook Express Password Revealer makes it easy to recover email account passwords saved in Outlook Express but show there as "***" only.

e-Campaign 2.96
e-Campaign is a simple and easy to use bulk email application that can be perfect for smaller campaigns with its basic mail merging and the WYSIWYG HTML editor, but lacks flexibility and power.

The Unread 1.0
The Unread inserts a concise and useful display of all your unread emails in your Mac OS X menu bar. Unfortunately, it only works with Mac OS X Mail and you can't restrict the mail count to specific folders or accounts.

MailList King 4.3
MailList King is a versatile email marketing app that not only manages lists well but also handles mail merging and delivery decently. Some advanced features are missing or require Outlook, though.

Atomic Mail Sender 2.35
Atomic Mail Sender is a basic, but useful bulk email tool with strong message delivery and so-so list management and mail merging.

SpamSubtract 1.80
SpamSubtract is a friendly and easy to use anti-spam tool. Unfortunately, its filters are not efficient enough to prevent all spam (and only the spam) from entering your Inbox.

Mail Siphon 2.8.2
A useful tool for quickly cleaning mailboxes under Mac OS Classic, Mail Siphon is unfortunately completely useless with Mac OS X.

KillSpam 6.0.3
KillSpam is a neat tool for browsing a mailbox quickly, deleting one or the other unwanted message. In spite of its name, KillSpam is no efficient anti-spam tool, however.

MailPriority 1.4
MailPriority adds support for message priorities to Mac OS X Mail, and lets you request return receipts, too. Unfortunately, Mail can't respond to such requests, not even with MailPriority.

Mail Watcher 2.8.0
Mail Watcher is a nice and useful mail checker with some minor shortcomings, but overall great functionality.

Calypso 3.3
Calypso is a powerful and flexible email package, ideal for heavy email users.

Mercury/32 4.01a
Mercury/32 is a powerful mail server with a rich feature set, solid performance and effective filtering. With its flexibility, Mercury/32 can perform most mail management tasks with ease. The few weak points of Mercury/32 can be found in missing web-based access, a lack of Bayesian spam filtering and a somewhat fragmented interface.

POPMonitor 2.1.3
Simplicity is great, and simplicity is where POPMonitor is great, which makes POPMonitor a small, but useful mail checker and remote mailbox tool with nice filtering options.

FeedDemon 1.0
FeedDemon is a clean and well thought-out approach to reading RSS feeds. Easy to configure and use, FeedDemon still has a very comprehensive feature set and hardly any weak spots.
