NewsFan 1.2.5
NewsFan is a clean and easy to use RSS feed reader that comes with an extra cool tool to ticker hot news. Unfortunately, you can't search across feeds otherwise or organize feeds in folders.

IncrediMail Xe Build 1361
IncrediMail is a fun and easy to use email client that adds spice to the messages you send. Unfortunately, IncrediMail lacks effective spam filters and some productivity features if you have to deal with large amounts of mail.

httpmail for Mac OS X Mail 1.35
Integrating well with Mac OS X Mail, httpmail lets you access Hotmail and MSN mail accounts with all the comfort of Mail. Hotmail with httpmail works a lot like a regular IMAP account.

KMail 1.6
Easy to use, powerful and versatile, KMail, the email component of the KDE Desktop Environment, is a fabulous Linux email client.

Spam CSI 6.3
Spam CSI analyzes emails using scoring filters, source tracking and by looking up web links. While the tracing tools are nice, Spam CSI isn't too useful (and slow) as a spam filtering utility.

CheckMail 1.4.5
CheckMail is a solid and useful mail checker with message filters. Unfortunately, it only supports POP accounts and lacks those nifty popup notifications.

Flystrike Spam Interrogator 1.8.0
Flystrike Spam Interrogator offers some useful spam filtering and can trace spammers, too, but its utterly confusing interface makes using Flystrike a challenge.

PopTray 3.0.2
PopTray is a really nice mail checker that also lets you preview and delete messages easily and even has filters to treat specific messages specially.

MailBell 2.08
MailBell is a great, flexible and powerful, but easy to use Windows mail checker that provides nice announcements, spam filters, and support for many mailbox types.

FastCheck 1.9
FastCheck lets you know about new messages in your FastMail account in what is very close to real time and in a very comfortable, concise and easy to use manner. While you can customize the alerts flexibly, this requires writing a script, and the FastCheck notifications don't let you know anything about the new messages.

Mutt 1.4.2.1
Mutt is the best console email client whose only limit is -- the console.

MenuMail 1.5
MenuMail uses the Mac OS X menu to announce new or unread messages in any folder in multiple IMAP accounts unobtrusively. The simplicity of MenuMail's design is bliss, but support for other email account types or maybe filters would still be nice.

Mulberry 3.1.2
Mulberry is a powerful and incredibly versatile email client available for all the popular platforms.

Mail Beacon 2.1.1
Mail Beacon is an excellent mail checker and online mail management tool.

Nisus Email 1.6.1
Nisus Email provides a different and interesting approach to email that takes advantage of your favorite text editor or word processor and Finder's organization talent.

Broadc@st HTML 4.5.1
An excellent and complete choice for any bulk email effort, the excellent Broadc@st HTML is powerful and flexible alike.

Cloudmark SpamNet 2.4
Cloudmark SpamNet is a great and easy to use anti-spam solution with a great spam detection rate while generally leaving legitimate mail alone. It's a pity Cloudmark SpamNet is only available for Outlook and Outlook Express.

G-Lock SpamCombat 1.40
G-Lock SpamCombat is a comprehensive and competent Bayesian spam filter that can make use of DNS blacklists, too. It's a pity it only works with POP accounts and requires a bit more user action than should be necessary.

Gammadyne Mailer 22.1
Gammadyne Mailer is an extremely powerful and versatile bulk email application, but not the pretties, and it needs some time getting used to.

MailDrop 1.3.2
MailDrop is a particularly elegant and simple tool for sending flexibly personalized emails in bulk. It's a bit short on advanced features, though.

Vallen e-Mailer R2004.0209
Vallen e-Mailer is a bare bones tool to get a message delivered to a list of recipients. It offers no comfort and hardly any features, but message delivery happens in a clean and reliable manner.

POP Peeper 2.3
POP Peeper is a nice new mail announcer and smart tool for browsing and quickly deleting mail in a POP, Hotmail or Yahoo! Mail account. It's a pity POP Peeper doesn't work with IMAP accounts and lacks (spam) filters.

OE Quick Tools 4.0
OE Quick Tools is a collection of Outlook Express add-ons that are mostly useful (the text snippets and the attachment stripper in particular). The message templates and text cleanup tools offered by OE Quick Tools could be richer in features, though.

Outlook Express Key 6.1
Outlook Express Key reveals the passwords to identities and email accounts in Outlook Express using an easy step by step process. Unfortunately, it lacks a more concise overview and the option to save all data quickly.

SlashDock 2.3.8
SlashDock is a nice way to keep up with the latest headlines via the Mac OS X Dock. SlashDock can get a bit cumbersome with many feeds, though, and isn't very good at organizing.
