MacSignify 3.0
MacSignify is a nice utility that constructs a random signature for use in your email program every time you run it.

OE-QuoteFix 1.19.2
OE-QuoteFix fixes Outlook Express by allowing it to properly format plain text files and adds some nice gimmicks, but the fix is not perfect yet.

Hotbar
Appearing to be a nasty, unnecessary gimmick at first, Hotbar proves quite useful, and a lot of fun by making it easy to add backgrounds, animations, smileys, preset text, and more to emails.

Email Saver Xe 2.0
Email Saver Xe is a great tool for easily (and automatically) creating backups of all your email messages and settings.

Bloomba 1.0
Bloomba is more than an email client: it's an email organizer that helps you tame even large volumes of mail with ease, comfort and spam filtering. It is not without flaws (editing, IMAP), though.

Yahoo! Mail
One of the better free email services, Yahoo! Mail is secure, reliable, accessible and comes with many useful features including fairly good spam filtering.

OE-Mail Recovery 1.4
OE-Mail Recovery makes it easy to recover messages from broken dbx files (the files used by Outlook Express to store mail). Unfortunately, the mbx format is not supported and OE-Mail Recovery can only save recovered emails to eml files.

Advanced Outlook Express Repair 1.2
Advanced Outlook Express Repair recovers emails from broken dbx and mbx files reliably. A bit more output format options would be nice, though.

AD Mailbox Manager 2.3
AD Mailbox Manager is a simple tool to clean POP accounts of unwanted messages.

Karen's E-Mailer II 1.2
Karen's E-Mailer II is a simple and useful mailer that lets you define messages and send them flexibly from scripts, for example. E-Mailer II is not a full-blown email automation too. though.

SentThere 3.0
SentThere provides a simple and easy to use system for email return receipts, but it lacks power and reliability.

POPThing 1.6
POPThing is a great thing for browsing mailboxes and quickly deleting messages. Unfortunately, POPThing is no longer in development.

CoffeCup Spam Blocker 3.5
CoffeeCup Spam Blocker can block a lot of spam and is easy to use, but its filters are not precise enough and catch too much good mail.

AOL 9.0 Optimized
AOL email is easy to use and great fun. The effective spam filtering contributes to the friendly email experience. But especially if you're exchanging lots of mail you'll miss power, flexibility and automation in AOL's email service.

Advanced Email Parser 1.23
Advanced Email Parser is a versatile and powerful incoming mail processing tool that can handle many email tasks automatically. Its major downside is that advanced processing can get a tad complex.

NetMailBot 4.0
NetMailBot is an extremely flexible tool for creating automated mailings of all kinds. With its powerful database connectivity and mail merging it also makes a great email marketing application.

Advanced Mailbox Password Recovery 1.5.8
If you have an email account password stored in any email client, Advanced Mailbox Password Recovery is the tool to uncover it.

AOL Communicator 20030919.3
AOL Communicator is a powerful and comfortable email client with effective spam filtering and good privacy and security protection. It's that a pity Communicator's plain text handling is broken.

Courier 3.50
Courier is a solid and powerful and secure email client for efficient email handling. Unfortunately, it doesn't really support IMAP and its message editor could use some formatting power.

Mailbox Guard 1.7
Mailbox Guard is a nice, easy to use tool to protect you against all the bad things that come via email. While it is effective against viruses it spam filters are not precise enough.

Outlook Express Attachment Extractor 1.13
Outlook Express Attachment Extractor lets you save attached files (or only the pictures) from emails easily. Unfortunately, it lacks really useful filters, though, and is a bit confusing, too.

Qurb 2.0
Qurb approaches spam radically, allowing only mail from approved senders to your Outlook Inbox. Fortunately, approving addresses is easy, but Qurb's concept still has its weak spots.

freeSmiley 1.4.0
A funny to use and useful tool at the same time, freeSmiley selects the right smiley for your email in an instant.

Redirect for Outlook 1.3
Redirect for Outlook lets you redirect emails to other people as if the original author hat sent them. Unfortunately, Redirect currently works best if the recipient, too, uses Redirect for Outlook.

InboxCop Anti-Spam 9.2.4
InboxCop Anti-Spam is a transparent and somewhat effective spam filter that works with many account types. Unfortunately, its filtering isn't precise enough and its interface a bit clumsy.
