How to Forward an Email in Thunderbird When you receive an email message you want to share, follow these steps to forward it to one or more email addresses. You can also choose to edit the message before forwarding it. Open Mozilla Thunderbird and go to the Inbox. Select the message you want to forward. Double-click the email if you want to open the message in a new window. Select the Forward button (located in the upper-right corner of the message window). A new Forward Message window opens. In the Options menu, select the Options icon to open the Options window. In the left pane of the Options window, select the Composition tab. Select the Forward Messages drop-down arrow. Choose Inline to forward messages in the body of the email window. Select As Attachment to forward all messages as attachments to emails. Select the Add extension to file name check box to send forwards as attachments. Doing so allows your recipients to view the file type more efficiently. Close the Options window.
