How to Disable Overwrite Mode in Eudora

Usually and by default, the Ins key toggles overwrite mode in the Eudora message editor.

This can lead to unexpected and unintended results when you use the Ctrl-Ins and Shift-Ins keyboard shortcuts for copying and pasting respectively.

Disable Overwrite Mode in Eudora

Fortunately, overwrite mode can be turned off in Eudora for Windows:

• Edit the X-Eudora-option AllowOverwriteMode and
• Set it to '0' to disable overwrite mode.
