How to Prevent Eudora from Asking You to Return Read Receipts

Email return receipts can be very useful. They let you know if, and when, somebody read your message. Unfortunately, if you're at the receiving end of an email that requests you to generate a read receipt, Eudora keeps asking you whether it is okay to generate that report.

If you get lots of emails and lots of spam that requests read receipts unnecessarily, this can get tedious. Fortunately, there's a way to prevent Eudora from asking you to generate read receipts.

Prevent Eudora from Asking You to Return Read Receipts

To stop Eudora from asking you to return read receipts for messages:

• Edit the X-Eudora-Option ReadReceiptAsk.
• Set the value to 0 under New value:.
• Click OK.
