Pop3Now

Pop3Now

Heinz Tschabitscher
The Bottom Line
Pop3Now gives a great, secure overview of up to five POP accounts and includes nice functionality like per-account signatures and an address book. The free version is crippled, though. Pop3Now is no longer available.
Pros
  • Pop3Now collects up to 5 accounts in one window
  • Uses secure TLS/SSL connections
  • Includes some spam filtering
Cons
  • Pop3Now supports POP accounts only
  • Free version lacks reply functionality
  • From address can't be changed
Description
  • Pop3Now lets you check up to five POP accounts via a Web-based interface.
  • Supports secure SSL/TLS connections not only to the site, but to POP servers, too.
  • Pop3Now lets you assign a custom reply-to address and signature fore each account.
  • Includes spam filtering options.
  • Pop3Now supports receiving and sending attachments securely.
Guide Review - Pop3Now
The more email accounts you have, the more useful Pop3Now becomes. This smart web-based interface to POP accounts lets you check up to five email addresses comfortably from one browser window.

Unfortunately, Pop3Now can't connect to IMAP accounts, too. It's good to see all connections to Pop3Now are secure, though, and that Pop3Now even handles attachments in a secure way.

While you can't change the From: address in the free version (which is useful only for a quick check of one account), subscribers can assign a custom reply-to address as well as a custom signature to each account. Pop3Now also offers a simple address book, and some spam filtering.

All in all not the most advanced, but a secure and useful mail checking service.
