Add a Sender or Domain to the ASD Clean List

By Heinz Tschabitscher, About.com

No matter how advanced Advanced Spam Defense is, it should never erroneously detect good mail (from friends, for example, or newsletters) as spam. Fortunately, it's easy to add individual email addresses or complete domains to the Clean List in Advanced Spam Defense.

To make sure ASD doesn't mark the About newsletters I have subscribed to in dark red, for example, I have added the "about.com" domain.

To add a sender or domain to the ASD Clean List:

  • Select Setup Clean List from the Advanced Spam Defense toolbar.
  • Make sure From (Sender's Email-address or Domain) is selected.
  • Click Add new.
  • Type the email address or domain name.
    • To whitelist all About newsletters, for example, type "about.com".
  • Hit Enter.
  • Click the Start/Pause button.
  • Click Apply.
