Haiti's flag shows its flag on itself inside the coat of arms — almost: while the flag is blue above red horizontally, the flags on the coat of arms have their colors arranged vertically like the French flag from which the Haitian had been derived.
The coat of arms is interesting also for its somewhat hodgepodge assortment of stuff on a lawn. The trumpets and hats and anchors are arranged with care, of course, around one central element: an impressive, topical and very tropical palm tree.
